Hi all,

Looking to upgrade a bit or like the title says all.

Currently have :-

-Corsair 4000D Airflow - MidtowermodelATX
-AMD Ryzen 5 3600 - Processor3.6 GHz (4.2 GHz) - 6 cores - 12 threads - 35 MB
-Gigabyte B550 Gaming X V2 - MoederbordATX - Socket AM4 - B550 – HD Audio – USB 3.2 Gen2
-Corsair RM Series RM650 (2019) - ATX12V 2.52/ EPS12V 2.92 - 80 PLUS Gold - 100-240
-Be quiet! Dark Rock 4
-Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro - DDR4 - 16 GB: 2 x 8 GB - 288-PIN - 3600 MHz - CL18
-GTX970 (old I know but it works)

So what are my options? budget of around £1k

Dont play many demanding games, looking to donate the unused parts to my daughters pc so that she stops using mine :P

Thanks in advance!

What games do you play and what res? with that gpu I am assuming its 1080P?

The cheapest option would be to go for a 5700X3D and possibly a GPU upgrade.

Failing that you go for a 7800X3D\Mobo\Ram\GPU

Do you use the PC for anything else apart from gaming like video editing etc?

Complete new build for yourself and donate your old build to your daughter, but use the Dark Rock 4 cooler on the new build.
You have ~ £300 of your budget left to get a RX 6750XT

My basket at OcUK:

Total: £684.90 (includes delivery: £0.00)

If your Daughter has a PC that can use the Ryzen 3600 just get a Ryzen 5700X3D and the GPU

This is a more minimum rebuild so you can donate everything, I wouldn't get less than a 5600/12400 and a 6600, but they're plenty good enough for some light gaming.

Total: £640.85 (includes delivery: £0.00)

Thanks for the replies, she plays stuff like Fortnite, the sims, Roblox etc and the spec of her pc is something old like a quad core 6600 if I remember, need to check on it though. I have case and ssd/M.2 drives so they wil be reused.

I play mostly world of warcraft, F1 and that sort.

Partial upgrade is what I would do, a motherboard bundle and GPU then reusing your old parts for your daughters pc with a new PSU and GPU if your 970 doesn't cut it.

So I'm looking at this setup, as i said case and SSD/M.2 will be reused, so this will free up some for a better GPU or something else.

What GPU would be a better choice? or is the 6750XT good enough at this price?

Nothing beatsThe 6750xt at that price point it's a solid option that can handle 1440p, tell us how much you want to spend anymore on a GPU .

Alternative Motherboard slightly cheaper .

Well since i don't need storage and a case then I guess £150 - £200 for an upgrade GPU/CPU/whatever
