hi i am currently running a his 7950 iceq boost and have recently purchased a Korean 2560x1440 pls monitor and wondered if getting a 770 would improve my fps whilst gaming or am i best sticking where i am?

To improve fps you need 120hz or 144hz monitor. Those Korean monitors are only 60hz and you can overclock, but each one is different.

I have the Asus VG278HE 27"144Hz and it's silly fast.

So I would try to OC yours if you can.
 
to be able to get close to max in all games at 1440 you are going to be needing 2 cards... subject to AMD releasing the crossfire fix soon you would be best off getting another 7950, rather than switching to a 770, which you would still need 2 of anyway

I personally can't be running without AA at 1440

Er. He wants to improve his FPS at the new resolution. Which would probably be lower than 60. Also overclocking these displays does not always = smoother. Never has with any of mine. Always looked worse.

Massive smoother pixels or sharp pixels which are still smooth and affect everything not just games ;)

Changing monitor is going to do nothing to improve FPS? :confused:
