The Gigabyte 9800Gtx+ with the Zalman cooler is much smaller than the standard cards, runs much cooler and only requires 1x 6 pin power connector.
he said he had a 3870, thats better than the 3850, so i don't think he would want one of thosesome ATI 3850s are quite cheap looking around and according to this they are only slightly worse than a 9600?
could crossfire a pair of 3870's for next to no money if the board supports it.
a 300W PSU? You will probably be struggling to upgrade without upgrading the PSU.
