Hi,

I am going for this bundle to upgrade his old Athlon x2. I also plan on getting an Antec 300 case as well. I assume the case will be fine for the bundle unless there is a better one for the same price.

He is using my old psu in his current system, which is around 6 years old, which was an Antec 550W Modular one and was wondering if the psu would be sufficient for that bundle.

He will be using only one hdd and his gfx card is a radeon 6670.

Thanks for any help.

1 x Avexir Core Blue Series 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-19200C10 2400MHz Dual Channel Memory Kit (AVD3U24001004G-2CI) - Blue Light £71.99
1 x Antec 300 Three Hundred Ultimate Gaming Case - Black £48.79
Total : £307.72 (includes shipping : FREE).

Then you can Xfire the on board GPU with the 6670. If you dont go with an APU, you will have to choose between a CPU upgrade or a GPU upgrade. Really, you sorta need both.

If you are unsure of the results, there are plenty of A10 videos on youtube showing performance. Try to find one in xfire with a 6670, it hink you might be pleasantly surprised.

Thanks for the reply. Would the psu be fine for this system?

Would be fine normally but with a 6 year old PSU, it might not be depending on its condition now, since they degrade all the time.

This isnt exactly a high usage system, so you could get away with 450W quite easily
