Upgrade from 1070 to 1080TI?

Alrighty folks. I've been running an EVGA GTX 1070 for around 8 months now. It's a pretty good card but would it be worth upgrading to the 1080Ti or simply getting another 1070 and going SLI?

What resolution are you playing at?

A single card solution is always the best way.

If it's for 1440p gaming, with the price drop, do what I've done and go for a 1080. More than enough. All comes down to what resolution you'll be gaming at.

I'm running my x34 with my new 1080, getting between 80-100fps on most my modern games. Witcher 3 stays at over 60 with hair works switched on.

1080 is okish, but ive had games give my 1080 trouble.

Unless you've got money burning a hole in your pocket, the 1070 is fine for 1440p60.

If you REALLY want to upgrade, I'd suggest waiting 1-2 months for AMD to launch Vega. Either it'll be amazing and you should buy one, or it will cause a bit of a price shift, or a bit of both.

My 980Ti is running fine at 1440p so you may as well stick with the 1070 until they add some new tech worth buying.

Although I have noticed my GPU clocks are all over the place since I got the X34
