Upgrade from 2500k...don't need GPU...limited budget

So have been caught by an itch I may need to scratch.
Will mainly be used for gaming...have r390 and will play at 1080 or 1440.
Is my basket compatible (not sure about mobo)? Any improvements? Is it worth going with a ryzen system? Budget £500.

Yes will be fine if you need Wi-Fi take a look at this.

Z motherboards allow overclocking of k series cpu but you not geting a k cpu so no point.

As @mickyflinn says. You're not overclocking. So no point getting a z-board.
Id actually recommend this board instead: the msi b560m pro vdh WiFi

Cheaper, with decent vrms and WiFi. Can be had for 120 notes.
And b560 supports memory overclocking as well.

I paid £ 161.50 ex VAT for 2x 16GB DDR4 2133 back in September 2018. I have it running at lowest timings DDR4 2400.

Thanks for the feed back....got the following basket now. Will the ram be compatible? Also got asrock B560 mobo in basket. I realise it doesn't have wifi any other disadvantages over the the Asus Tuf? They didn't have the MSI b560m in stock as suggested.

I'd probably swap the ram out for the ballistix since it's faster at the same timings while only being a few quid more. Should overclock a bit better and will likely be able to run CL14 if don't mind a bit of manual tuning.
