upgrade from 260gtx to.....

From what I've read a 470 @ stock is about on par with 260 sli. In some cases the 470 will pull ahead and on others it will drop a little under what two 260's can achieve.

As above GTX260 SLI @ stock is roughly equivalent to a GTX470 at stock.

However going from a heavily OC'd GTX260 SLI setup to a GTX470 @ 800MHz performance is generally atleast as good as before, often quite a bit quicker, and generally feels more consistant due to generally better minimum fps. I wouldn't however be in a hurry to upgrade knowing what I do now but I don't regret it either.

I'd personally try and wait till next year and 32nm products become available. Unless you REALLY want to go down to a single card solution (which does have its advantages), your sli 260s are going to hold their own against any other single card solution right now!
