upgrade from 270x wait or?

hey guys i recently upgraded my pc, new mainboard case etc

basically in the next month or 2 ill be buying a new gpu, i have held off till now but i really want a new gpu with a decent performance increase over my HIS ice q radeon 270x 2 gig.

nvidia just priced themselves out of my range with their embargo lifted today,

so im thinking of a price under 300 quid preferably around the 230 mark for a decent upgrade to go nice with my new cpu etc

so any ideas guys an lassies for a gpu between 200-300 quid edit : im only using a 1920x1200 monitor and probably getting a 1080p one next

My advice is wait another two weeks and see what the new amd polaris cards are like,they should be a massive upgrade to your 270,and hopefully they will cost under £250.

If the 1070 performs as expected and is on a par with 980Ti or slightly beats it, and if some models come in around £325, then on 10th June some 980Ti prices will be dropping to about £300. Even if they don't, a few more quid and the 1070 should be within reach.

That's apart from any AMD cards arriving too. So for either reason - wait.

polaris should be right around your budget, so i would wait, rumor have polaris launching 1st june, so 2weeks to wait.

ah cheers guys i had no idea that polaris was that close to been launched.

it will take me a few weeks to save my pennies, guess ill hold fire then and see what their like,

im just getting really itchy for a new gpu hehe
