Hi guys,

My setup is below:
MSI Z68A GD80(B3)
i5-2500k (overclocked 4.2)
8gb ddr3
280x
xfx 750 watt

I've just upgraded to 1440p and I'd like to make the most of it and wondered what would be a decent upgrade for £350-£400?

For a few fps more than you have now is not worth the £300 for the performance you'd get out over your 280x imo, If your wanting the best performance at 1440 it's better to get another 280x for the money.

Cheers both. How are these cards for noise levels? I had a Sapphire card last time and it was like a jumbo jet. Guessing these cards are better than an Nvidia option?

Your thinking of the reference cards yes those are loud.

AIB cooled ones are no louder than any other AIB cooled card be it AMD or Nvidia.

The Vapor-X ones are particularly quiet.

I don't have one, but my Powercolor has a 3 fan cooler, with 20% overclock and a custom fan profile it runs at 73c, and its as quiet as a whisper, no exaggeration i can play with headphones off and hardly hear it, i only know its there if i listen for it.

Here is a demo of the Vapor-X intelligent Fan thingy...

And noise levels.
