upgrade from 4870 512mb

looking to upgrade the above to something that can handle crysis 1700x1000 on high with some AA

the 4870 can do medium with no AA fine and some high settings.
would another 4870 do me well a X-fire or maybe a different card altogether

yeah tell me about it i can't acess 1920x1080 on crysis for some reason 1700x1000 is the highest it goes
