Hi guys, see my sig, I'm running a Gigabyte DDR2 mobo with 2x2gb ocz gold 5-5-5 pc2-6400 800mhz ram sticks.
i can run a lot of games 1920x1080res fine, but i particularly love fallout 3 which doesnt run quite perfect at 1920, i was wondering if you reckon my ram is letting me down as i have a 5870 1gb which should be plenty. everything looks a little cloudy at 1650 res...

if i upgrade to 4gb pc2-8500 will i see a large performance difference? is there any point?
or on the other hand i could go to 6gb or 8gb, should i get 2x1gb pc2-6400 ram? or 1x2gb same as what ive got now?

it's so confusing.
any help/
thanks guys!

i should add, i mean performance difference in games, i use Cubase 5 and Reason 4 a lot for music production which is what my system is mainly for, but i'd like to make everything 1920res smooth if i can

What operating system are you using?

If it's 32bit then it won't recognise anything over 4GB so an upgrade would be pointless.

Even if you have a 64bit operating system 4GB should be plenty for gaming.
