After having had the 550D for almost a year and adding quite a few upgrades to my system I think now is the time to upgrade the case.

One of the biggest dilemmas I've had is cooling. After going to a SLI Setup with GTX 670's it just seems like there's no space inside the case anymore for any cooling whatsoever, one of the cards idles at 59c whilst the other is at 45c. The rest of my system is as follows:

i5 2500k @ 4ghz - Corsair H60 CPU Cooler
8GB DDR3 RAM
3 x HDD
1 X 120gb SSD
Corsair HX750 modular PSU

I've been looking at a few cases but the Corsair 750D has caught my eyes the most. Would you guys recommend the 750D to cater for the above hardware and will I have any issues in keeping everything running cool? Any thoughts welcome.

Thanks!

what about using the 550d side fans ? adding a couple or one there to pull/push might lower the temps

Or making a fan profile

and how about having all hard drives in the 525 disc bay and removing both hdd cages so the front fans have uninterrupted travel to the cards

or just have the bottom cage in and cable tying an additional fan in the gap between bottom hdd cage and 525 bay at the top

and have you considered the next step to be watercooling ? one of the only ways to have 2 cool cards in sli/xfire is to

#1 have a nice gap between the cards ideally an inch or more as they sit in the board

#2 the coolers on the cards themselves being good , often leaf blower reference style coolers are not good at all and do idle at high temps, third party air coolers can achieve much better temps

#3 watercool the cards or at least the top card

changing case may not achieve a huge amount if they are reference coolers, if no plans to watercool I'd consider something like a silverstone ft02 they are still the best air cooling cases imo 550d to 750d would be a sidegrade the 750d would be better if you may go watercooling though.

What you need are better coolers on the cards themselves though really if you want low temps in dual card setups.

How about selling the gtx670's and buying a single powerful card thats what I would do if I were sitting with 2x gtx 670's at this stage their resale price can only fall rapidly
