Upgrade from 560ti

Buy the XFX 290 for £199.99... Absolute bargain and one hell of an upgrade :)

Edit: it appears to have gone back up to £239.99... At that price is be looking at the Nvidia GTX 970

290 - Mantle, TrueAudio
970 - Adapatve Vsync, DSR, Gsync

I know what I'd go for :p

I think it depends on your requirements and if you're going to be using the features. I'm running a 290 with a 1440p monitor and couldn't be happier :)

Freesync is also due out in November which is similar to Gsync but free - I'd expect the compatible monitors to be cheaper than gsync also!

I did the 560Ti upgrade week or so ago,got a nice Sapphire 280X Dual X OC for 125 quid still under warranty of favourite bay site.

Very happy with the card and drivers :) .

Good choice if you're on a small budget/looking for value

I'm not on a budget as such just don't want to deal with 970 coil whine issues and prefer to wait for AMD R9 390s and rest of Nvidia's new range next year.

280X is a nice stop gap :),will go in my Linux PC later which has a low 4870 card.

970/980 prices will come down anyway, especially towards Christmas.. Maybe not a huge amount but good enough :)

280X here too and doing fine so far! Plays Alien and CIV just fine

"Have loved this card, but it has been chugging on recent games a little bit."

Me as well msi twin frozr and got one that clocked like a beast, lasted far longer than I ever thought.

I am going with the sapphire vapor x tomorrow morning, after much thought. £240, best of breed and I have a case it will look ace in.
