upgrade from 5770?

Hi All

im looking for recommendations on a gfx card upgrade.

Currently have a 5770 1gb. (bit of a compromise purchase due to the budget i had at the time)

Cpu is a Q6600 oc'd to over 3ghz on a P35 board.

Budget is 200-250 (could flex a little if needed)

Im ready to buy today but will wait if there is something round the corner (5850 replacement?)

not a big fan of noise and heat so not sure that the current midrange nvidia cards are for me, but I dont have a preference of amd vs nvidia.

would be willing to xfire but i think the second gfx slot is PCIx4 v1 so think it might bottleneck any gains.

Game types are typically fps & x3 terran conflict @ 1650.

I would wait a few weeks to see how the HD6950 is priced.

If you want to but a card now the HD6870 1GB is worth a look at IMHO. The GTX470 is also a decent card too but has much higher power consumption.
