upgrade from 660ti?

Hi guys,

Looking to upgrade from a 660ti and wondered what i should get for £250? Been looking at 7970 but not sure if I should go a little bit more a 770.

Looking at the christmas/ new year line-up I feel that the card might struggle a bit with the likes of BF4, Ghosts, Titanfall and Watchdogs.

660Ti is about twice as good as my 5870 - I'm playing BF4 just fine.

New cards are coming out soon... but you'd be spending about twice your budget for a worthy upgrade. For about £250 you might not even notice the difference.

I know it might only be a beta but it does struggle with BF4. Total War also struggles with it.

Well, normally I'd recommend a 7950 or 670, but since you've got a 660ti I think to make the upgrade worthwhile you'd be better off going for a 770 or 7970. The 7970 is better value, and tends to edge it slightly at higher resolutions, where as the 770 tends to win out at a standard res like 1080 / 1200p.

Yes, it should give a worthwhile bump in fps.

Btw, I would like to say how much I value the good quality of your produce. You can do a lot worse than buying frozen!

Why when the 280X Is nothing more then a 7970 with slightly higher clocks.... Unless you have £500+ for the 290X?.

My rig struggles with BF4. Game is an unoptimised turd currently.

edit: see you went for a 7970. That should be a worthwhile upgrade
