I have a Dell 5000 which I think has PCI-E and currently has a 6800 (not sure what sort). The processor is a pentium 4 at 3.2ghz. 1Gb of ram.

As you can tell from the above, I'm not really into the details of the system, so I want some advice for what graphic card to upgrade to.

I want the graphics upgrade to be able to play Medieval Total War or NWN2 on a Dell 2405 monitor at full res.

Will I get the full benefit of something like an 8800 with my processor or should I just get a cheaper card?

Anyone know if the larger cards will fit in my case (it's a mini-tower). Ideally I'd also like the card to be quieter than the 6800.

Thanks in advance

check the psu in your dell system if its lacking then go for a 7900gs otherwise the 1950pro is good or if you want to spend more get the 7900gto.
