Well if you only play COD4 and get that FPS now, is there much point in upgrading
That might be with no AA, so with a 4870 you could have maybe up to 100 fps and 16xaf plus lots of aa and never have the framerate drop below 60 fps for a nice smooth experience.
Yeah scarecrow the 4870 should blow your socks off 
that extra bit of ram also helps majorly in terms of high resolution gaming! what res are you playing at as a point of interest? But if you are only playing CoD4 at the minute and the game is performing fine why not wait out a wee bit?

That was a good thing that we were waiting for! It's around twice as fast as the 3870 in a lot of benchmarks, which in turn is slightly faster than the 8800 GTS 320.
