Upgrade from a 3930k

I currently have a 3930k running along nicely at 4.7ghz.

Ive not upgraded my rig for a long while now and have the itch..

What cpu's if any are worth upgrading to, I use my pc for gaming and edit some of my go pro vids and thats about it.

I'm leaning towards the 8600K and I feel the 8700k isn't worth nearly 200 quid more..

OR is it not worth upgrading at all currently?

You're going to see a difference of at least 45% if you're going to overclock the 8600K. So I'd say that is a good enough reason to upgrade if you feel you need the performance that's currently lacking.
