My nephew has a old Pentium D @ ~3.2 GHz, it’s an AGP motherboard with a NVIDIA 7300LE. I know it’s not the best PC in the world but it won’t be replaced for a while yet. His birthday is coming up and I was thinking of getting him a graphics card, can anyone recommend one that would be worth the purchase?

Cheers

At the moment if I was looking for an AGP card I'd opt for an ATI 3650 or the X1950Pro which are both £58 on OcUK. I'd probably shift towards the 3650 because it's "newer" but both cards would be great upgrades from a 7300LE. There is the 3850 but it's quite a bit more...
Unless you can find a used Gainward 7800GS+ (with 24pipes) then I'm not sure Nvidia have anything that comes close.

7600gt would be a good card for that system if you can find one. x1950pro is better but will cost a bit more but requires a half decent PSU
