Upgrade from a dell 2407 A03?

I fancy a bigger screen and i know the dell i have now is a good panel so i would hate to get something bigger that was worse, what is there out there comparible but bigger? The 30" dell is stupid money so thats out.

Mainly desktop and web work, minor gaming, no video or dvd watching or anythign like that.

Any ideas?

I have the Dell 2709W (A02) and I find it to be a wonderful screen for all my desktop applications and web browsing. I also use it heavily for gaming and videos, where it also performs brilliantly. It uses an S-PVA panel, very similar to your 2407, but I believe the colour gamut is a bit wider and it has HDMI and DisplayPort support.

I moved from a Dell 2408WFP A02, the upgrade was definitely worth it IMHO.

God i want the 30", the 27 is lovely but it makes you wonder if the extra 3" is worth 500 quid. I am on the pc most days so the screen is a big thing for me and the 30" would be a dream i just wish it was under 800 quid.

If i was to do a 2 monitor setup which would be a good match to the 2407 to go side by side?
