upgrade from a msi 7870

I made a thread a while ago about going xfire with my 7870 or upgrading my card but certain circumstances stopped me. But now im getting a little bonus from work next week which im going to use on improving my rig. Im not to fussed on getting the don of the graphics card world just a upgrade from my 7870. Any thoughts?

Current spec is:
Amd 8320
7870 black knight edition
500w corsair builder psu
Gigabyte 970a-ud3 Rev.3.0 (i think cant remember of the top of my head will check on it when finish work)

Well a 7870 is a rebranded 270x so you would need to look above that in order to have an upgrade.

The 280 (non x) is equivalent to the 7950 and the 280x is the 7970. The problem been that these cards or a 290 would really require a PSU upgrade first.

Yeah sorry forgot to mention budget...will be around the 350-400 mark

I know ill need a psu upgrade aswel so any suggestions on that? Dont want to spend anymore than £80 on the psu.
