Hi all,

So my gaming rig is OLD, and I do mean old. I bought the motherboard over 9 years ago (Gigabyte GA_965P_DS3)! I've upgraded the CPU/graphics and bought an SSD over the years but I can't go any further on 4GB of RAM so it's time to move on.

My primary use is mid range gaming - world of warships, star craft 2, company of heros 2 etc) and web browsing

I currently have and will keep:

Windows 10
MSI ATI Radeon HD 6850 (Will likely upgrade in a year or so)
22 inch 1080P monitor (Will likely upgrade in a year or so)
256GB SSD
Corsair HX 520
Antec 300 case

So I need M/B, CPU (Intel), cooler and 8GB of RAM with the ability to easily upgrade to 16GB in the future.

It's likely I won't be upgrading again for another 8-10 years so it needs to be future proof as much as possible so I'm more inclined to go DDR4.

Budget is £400 or thereabouts.

I've been looking at the upgrade bundles and this caught my eye:

Any other suggestions?

I am currently looking at doing exactly the same thing. :)
My sig in spec.

Some say the 520 power supply "may" not cope with the low power states in new CPU`s
I am hoping its fine.

Finally got around to ordering this. I upped the RAM to Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 PC4-19200C14 2400MHz Dual Channel to give me 16GB with room for 32GB at a later date if needed.

I also changed the cooler due to price fluctuations to the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo (which seems excellent).

Including delivery it came to £409 and it's all working great/zipping along (with a small overclock ofc).

Chuffed, thanks for the help!
