Hi,

My current case in an Antec 900, which I've never been happy with. The airflow is fine for my purposes and the temps are all ok, but it's so cramped inside and just plain nasty to work with.

I want a case that looks lovely and is spacious. Plenty of room for my 8800 and five hard disks.

I don't want to pay more than about £150 but I could be swayed if the benefits are worth it.

Cheers,

Gray

Not sure about the Spedo, read some reviews about it being noisy. What about the Corsair 800D? Is that worth the money?

Corsair is a great case but slightly more than your budget which is why i didnt suggest it but if you can run to that much then it is what i would buy. Im using the Spedo and it is lovely and quiet.

Hmmm... What about the Coolermaster RC1100 Cosmos Sport?

I mean, I really like the look of the Corairs over £200 for a case is... craaaazy!

I've got the Thermaltake Armor and it fulfills all your requirements though i wouldn't say it's worth the upgrade. It's big, has pretty good cooling and can take up to 6 HDDs as standard or 20 with a bunch of after market cages.

What i'ld look into is a NAS enclosure as i'm pretty sure you don't need all those drive inside your PC, it'll be more convenient in the future and then you won't be without HDD headroom on any case you buy.

I *do* need all those drives. I've got a XP install on one, another one just for gaming, another one for dev stuff and another just for data (mainly films, music and photos). 1.5TB worth of stuff I think...

Anyway, I really want to steer clear of Antec. The 900 is about the third Antec case I've had and I fancy a change. I'd like to see them on display really up close and personal to get a proper feel of 'em, but it's not like PC World does any of these cases is it..!

Thanks for the recommendations of the other ones though, I'll look into those tomorrow.

I did look at that and liked it, but the more I look at them all the harder it is to choose!

the 932 HAF is a superb case if you are looking for lots of room and lots of airflow

however if you are wanting to install watercooling inside the case aswell opt for something more likes the corsiar 8000 or silverstone TJ07

but the HAF is an excellent case i was well impressed when my mate got one

TJ07 might be much more expensive case but it's definitely the best case I've ever used ... so much room inside and has so much potential for mods.

I'll only be using air cooling and won't be doing any mods. The TJ07 does look nice but the price doesn't!
