Hello all,

As per subject really, crysis 3 is making me get the upgrade bug.....budget 250 - 300

I could go 7950 and clock it (also get crysis 3 :)) or 670 ????

I run Guild wars 2, Diablo 3, Starcraft2, Borderlands 2 etc just need whatever card to run as cool as possible but show an improvement on what I have now !

All advice much appreciated rig as per sig

Borderlands 2 does look good with the PhysX of Nvidia GPU's but there isn't many games that take advantage of Nvidia PhysX (33 I believe).

The 7950 is the peach of a buy in the price per performance and if you are happy to overclock (which I see you are), I would advise this route.

For Nvidia, the 670 is a great card and at just over £300 for the EVGA FTW, it is a serious contender. If you wanted to stay Nvidia, this is my recommendation.
 
Yeah my current thinking is the 7950 is the sweet spot...plus the added crysis bonus !

I have been away from amd for a while now (5770)...just want to make sure making the right move away from nvidia......Borderlands is pretty with the physx but I don't really play enough of it ! Also I don't fold etc

My current card is great but it just seems to belt out a lot of heat....I have cleaned it all on several occasions !

Hopefully the new card will run cooler.

Good choice Trev and although I find AMD cards smell of old people, who have been boiling cabbage for the last 50 years, they are pretty good :)
 
Thanks to all went for the MSI Twin Frozr iii boost edition 7950 on offer, cracking card and free games ! Temps much improved cool card in all ways ;-)

Off to the bay now to get rid of 570.
