Upgrade from F4 bio's to F6 worth it on DS 3

Hi, I have this set up...Using F4 bio's

Saw on the DS3 guide topic that the F6 version was suppose to enhance overclocking on 6300/6400 chip's.After searching though the entire thread which took 20 min i didn't find anyone to confirm the F6 was any better than F4.
The highest i can get stable is 3.4 (490*7) if i relax ram timings to 5-5-5-15.Since I've never flashed a motherboard bio's before i thought i would ask to see if there was much to be gained by upgrading to F6 :D
 
Don't change it, with bios's you should'nt change if it ain't broke. You have a 6300 at 3.22ghz. Thats a very good OC. So don't change it! ;) There not like drivers really, where the latest drivers usually enhance performance.

Hi, Just a quick question for you, a bit off the topic, but its a quick one,

Ok, I want to buy the same cpu, mobo and ram from overclockers that you have. I was wondering did you also get the ds3 from overclockers? if so, then I know that the motherboards coming from OcUK have the f4 bios, and seeing that you have a excellent overclock, that the ram and cpu must be perfectly working. As I have read the thread called ds3/ds4/dq6 owners guide and saw that some have issues. so would be excellent if you could let me know.

Hi, Yes I ordered the DS3 about 2 week's ago from OCUK and it came with F4 bio's :)
 
My DQ6 has the F4 bios but it wasnt from overclockers :P. Most new ones should come with F4 bios as they cure most ram issues i think.
 
My DS4 came with the F3 BIOS, and its all working fine and dandy, ive no need to flash it to the latest, and risk killing my board, not bothered about quad core support.
 
Try the f7 BIOS for the DS3. It's been pretty good.

But I'd avoid the latest f8. It's a dog.
 
F8 is fine for me. I've flashed every bios on the DS3 as I had the first batch that came out :p

Never had a board go wrong flashing.. must have done about 40-50 at a guess (work and home).
