Can't even get a basic pinball game past 1024x768 with this card, so I'm looking to upgrade it.

The replacement needs to have normal VGA output as that's all my screen can take, native res of screen is 1440x900, and it needs to be less than £70.

Spec away guys!

ATI are going to have price drops, they should be effective this week. You should then be able to get a 3850pro 512mb for 70+ship hopefully. I'd wait and see anyway.

They will come with dual DVI out, but should come with vga adapters as well.

£70 is a pretty dodgy budget as the 3870 and 9600 GT are only a little more and would fly in your machine.

As said above I guess you're going to have to wait for price drops.

If that is your budget and you won't go over that price then as posted above with the price drops due this week on ATI cards i would just wait a few days and see if the 3850pro comes down to £70 as this is a good little performer for the price.

If you can't wait then it looks like the only thing you could get at the moment is a 8600gt
for example

All depends what games you want to play and how future proof you want to be, but please wait for the price drops.

Being a yorkshireman I like the sound of price drops! I'm not desperate for a new card yet, so if the prices are expected to fall I'll happily wait for them.
