Hi all,

Im looking for an upgrade from my HD6850.

My current setup is like 4 years old now, I only play games like CS GO so nothing to demanding.

My setup is :-

I5 3570k
Z99 Mobo
4gb ram
HD6850
SSD.

Can anyone recommend anything, Iv tended to always go for ATI/AMD cards.

Also my budget is £80, probably source something 2nd hand.

For £80 you'd be looking at something like a used 7970/280X. Possibly a 380X, although those are far less common. If you could stretch your budget to £100 or so, you might be able to nab a 290 or 290X somewhere. All of these cards do use a lot more power than a 6850 though, so you might want to check whether your PSU is up to it.

80 pounds is a small budget but the HD6850 is so old you have plenty of choice for a big upgrade even with that.

Assuming prices in the UK are similar to here, £80/€100 generally would get you a GTX670, HD7970, or something along those lines.

That said if you're only playing CS: GO, I would have thought the HD6850 would be plenty?

How does your 6850 do on CS? If it's not playing it at your monitors refresh rate (60hz = 60fps) I wouldn't of though it would be worth the upgrade tbh. If its just an upgrade itch you have. Try and ignore it and keep saving for the GPU you want, if you want to play any newer games e.g. Bf1 then you will need a better GPU
