Upgrade from i7 3770 1080p gaming.

Hi, looking to upgrade cpu ram and mb.
To be used for high refresh rate 1080p gaming.
Is ryzen or intel now my best option - or should I wait?

Aiming to eventually pair with rtx 3070. Budget ~£400

No idea but let's hope they do a better job than nvidia did with the 3080.

Should do, they'll have had more than a few weeks to build up stock and don't need to rush for a release. Availability of Zen2 was pretty good, different SKUs may have individual launch dates though.
