Hi guys,
At the moment I have a Onkyo HTX-22HDX system with the centre and two rear speakers to make it 5.1. However, I've never setup the system as a true surround sound due to the pain with wires and the fact my sofas are against the back wall. I didn't want side speakers near the sofas to be hugely visible.
As a replacement am I better looking at a decent soundbar or another 3.1 / 5.1 with all of the speakers at the front?
I need a system with at least four HDMI ports (Fire TV, Chromecast, PS4, Virgin). Ideally, consolidating the space used by everything if not sacrificing sound too much. I doubt I'll be getting 4k source any time soon but some future proofing could be useful.
Budget would be no more than £600 plus whatever I can get for selling the Onkyo.
Thanks
