Upgrade from q acoustic 2020i demo recommendations

Going to richersounds tomorrow for a 2nd demo on speakers as I wish to upgrade from my q acoustic 2020i.

Any suggestions on what I should give a demo got monitor audio bronze 2s and deli zensors to decide between but wondering if there is anything others to consider budget is £300
 
The 2020i's punch well above their weight. £300 will get you something a little better, but not massively in my opinion. I think I'd be looking at the second hand market.

The bronzes are good speakers though. I have the bronze 5 floorstanders and they are very nice.
 
I would recommend music or a movie that you know really well, this way you will be able to spot the difference and see if it is worth the cost to you. A lot of the times the marginal gains are not :)
 
I tested bronze 6's and qa 3050s ended up keeping the 2020is as i preferred the sound found the bronzes too bright!

Shall be going back to test some kefs and focals though at some stage.

My bronze 5's were way too bright to start with. Took a fair while but they have definitely mellowed out.

I was a bit worried I had bought badly for quite a while. They were extremely harsh at the top end.

Reckon they started to mellow a little after around 100 hours listening.
