What's your main use ?
If gaming 5700x3d is the gaming price to performance king .
Seems smart to go 5000 of some sort but you'll likely need a BIOS update to do so.
Is import duty on top of the 20% they add?Pick a seller with good reviews on the item.
Bear in mind import duty above £135 (?)
will do,Nice, let us know how you get on with it and if your happy with the giant performance increase.
What cooler are you using?
I’m going to have a look over the weekend as should have a few hours free.just read the website carefully as some bios upgrades might need to be flashed in the correct sequence
I’m in no rush anyways. Been rocking the 1600 a few years so a few more weeks won’t hurtThe shipping takes a while if you ordered from the same place as me, ordered mine on 30th sept and its out for delivery with royal mail today.
i read through all the instructions and it didnt mention anything about doing incremental updates so just jumped in with the lastest one and it all updated fine. just waiting on the cpu now. need to grab myself some thermal paste toobe careful when you upgrade the bios and make sure you follow all the steps recommended by the motherboard model which usually are a few bios updates (don't jump to the latest bios!)
Edit: sorry, I posted this after reading only the first page!
i have the cryorig H7 so should be all goodwhat cooler do you have at present?
it may be more worthwhile to get a better cooler (which will come with thermal paste)
the £16 thermalright assassin king ak120se springs to mind immediately, and it comes with high quality paste...and rgb if that's your cup of tea too lol
no point getting a beast cpu and hamstringing it with a wraith stealth lol
My 5700x3d came on Friday so has been installed. You can also get a 5600 for cheap, brilliant little chips
seems really good to be fair, i mean i dont really play anything super intensive that would require such a cpu at the moment but the future proofing is there. i paid around £130 delivered so it was a bargain.Let me know how you get on with it, as I've been looking at one but the price is just a little too high at the moment
That’s what I didthey seem reasonable if you buy them from china...
you can’t compare the two.The problem I have with it being that price is that the 9600x is about £140-150, so it doesn't really make sense to go for the 5700x3d
