Hey,

I currently have a r9 280 which tbh is a beast for most of the games I play. I'm looking to upgrade for some of the newer titles and I'm also looking to go more high end (last few cards have been pretty mid range 8800 gtx, 560ti, 280) but this time around I'd consider going to £300ish.

I was thinking of getting a 290x on ebay and selling my 280 but not I'm thinking to just wait til the new GPUs come out.

What do you guys think?
 
Game Dev Conf 3rd week in March, apparently new info on new gen of AMD and nV cards.

It's hard to wait, I know, but I'd at least wait until then, in the hope of some concrete info. That's less than four weeks away.

I'm sitting on a 280X, which is showing its age, and also thinking of spending about £250. Personally I don't think throwing that money at an outgoing 28nm card is a good move, but plenty of others disagree.

In the same boat. These day a new mid/high end GPU is a major investment. Imo Best to wait and see what comes out first.
 
R9 390, would be the best bang for the buck, decent perf upgrade for about £250 (dont get the 390X like 10% perf difference for like £100 price difference not worth it)
Nano even better deal at £350
or if you feel like waiting for june/july you might pick new polaris/pascal
