Hi, needing a serious upgrade from my RTX 3060, I am trying to play video storyboards with Autodesk Infraworks for clients, but my PC is a bit jumpy when playing them. Also, when trying to render, it just takes forever...

My PC is a decent spec everywhere else:

Processor 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-13700K 3.40 GHz
Installed RAM 64.0 GB

Just need a boost in the Graphics dept.

Any suggestions? I assume i'm going to have to fork out quite a bit

Brill, thank you Graphics Cards confuse me, when I search 9070XT for example in OC website, I get all different options…. Is there much difference between them all?
Last time I looked, the AMD 9070 XT was about £60-70 cheaper, brand depending.
The Nvidia 5070Ti is a bit better, but it's whether you can justify the extra cost, both are awesome, so you can't loose.

I like both AMD and Nvidia, but Nvidia absolutely nailed the upscaling/frame generation stuff with the previous 4XXX generation, they also are a lot quicker at releasing updates to these features, along with more games supporting Nvidia due to most being Nvidia sponsored games, however there are more and more AMD titles these days.

However AMD recently has been catching big time with FSR4 which at this point basically looks very very close to as good as Nvidia's DLSS 4, so again you can't loose.

Me personally, I'd spend the extra, as at worst you just save for another week/month and then don't regret it in a month - not that you would regret anything if you had chosen the cheaper AMD 9070XT, but when there's that little in it, I will always spend that little bit more - but a little bit extra to me, might be a lot to you, it's whatever you feel comfortable with/see value in :)

Either way, you cannot loose with either :)

What software are you rendering with? Some investigation required on hardware acceleration options for your software as it might work much better using CUDA cores for example. This will then guide your decision.
