Hi i am think i might need to upgrade my GPU for the new MW2.

Current PC specs
CPU: Ryzen 5 3600
GPU: rx5700 xt
PSU: 650W
Memory: 8GB x2 3200.

I was thinking maybe go upto a rx 6700xt would the rest of the pc be ok or to much bottle neck?

Cheers Andy

Even if the 3600 does hold you back slightly at times, you can just drop something in to replace that later. A 5600X is under £200 these days and is only going to get cheaper.

Can you let us know what resolution you are using as the higher the res the less stress on the cpu normally.

At 1440 I didn't see much of a reason to go for the 6700xt.

I have a 5700 OC'd to the XT level and looking at a 6800 minimum since the jump in FPS in comparison doesn't make it worth the price upgrade to go for less.

The 6800 has a wider memory bus than the 6700xt and that's where some big gains are had. 6800 in general is 10-20% (more towards top end) faster than the 6700xt but then there is about a £100 difference so that may not be worth it to some.

I'm still holding out for some decent price cuts since prices have jumped back up these last few weeks. Might have to wait until November now when AMD release more news of their next gen.
