Upgrade from two 7950's

Hi Guys,

I currently have two 7950's in my system OC, one being different to the other. I have recently been considering an upgrade as I have had these cards since early last year. I am quite interested in going back to single card as the R9 290x offers Dual GPU with 8GB of VRAM which is better than both of my cards.

I don't mind going down the Crossfire route again but will have to be with the same cards.

I'ld only bother if I was finding crossfire was being a pain with a game that I mainly played. Or if I were going to go well beyond 1080p.

If they are playing happily together then they are better than a single 290x.

My two 7950s destroy a 290x and even a single 980. I'd save the money and overclock your cards and wait for the new 20nm cards

Thanks for the replies guys, think I will sort my two cards out so they function better and wait for the 20nm cards.
