Hi all,

I'm looking to upgrade my graphics card as I noticed when playing ARMA 2 on highest settings, it's quite laggy. On ARMA 1 it was fine on all the highest settings.

I've ramped them down a bit but it looks so good on the highest settings I want to be able to play on them and can't help but think it's the graphics card holding back, therefore I would like a new one.

My budget is £250, PC specs as follows:

Asrock Z68 Extreme4 Intel Z68 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard
Intel Core i7-2600K 3.40GHz @ 4.60GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155
Kingston HyperX Genesis Grey 16GB DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 560Ti OC WindForce 2X 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express

Antec TruePower New Modular 750W '80 Plus Bronze' PSU

Any advice is much appreciated.

Received it today only to find that it's not compatible with my motherboard.

Will OCUK take it back do you think?

Motherboard using the latest BIOS?

Indeed, checked that two days ago.

My mobo has a nvidia logo on it, so I checked the manual and it says it supports intel chipsets only. Should have checked this first, what an idiot.

Have you actually tried the card in the system? It seems very, very unlikely for the board to be incompatible.

I have a Z68 chipset based board as well with a 7950 working just fine in it.

Maybe it's faulty then.

The only other thing I can think of is that it's not getting enough power or something?

Or could it be something as simple as resetting the CMOS?
