Hi

I have a Ati X800 Pro AGP unlocked for 16 pipes. I know I would need to go to PCI-E to upgrade but what type of card would I need to get to see a noticeable difference in performance? I'm not bothered whether it is Nvidia or Ati and would have a budget about the £200 - £250 mark.

Cheers

X1800 XT would be a noticeable improvement at £152 in 'this week only'. In fact I've just done the exact same upgrade - X800 Pro (16 pipe soft-mod @ 510/540) upgraded to Connect3D X1800 XT 256 mb. Obviously though if you have £250 to spend the X1900 XT 512 mb is the one to go for (also in 'this week only' at £234).

Deffo the x1800 XT, would be an awesome boost from an x800 pro, i went to a 512mb one from an x800 XT PE, and the performance increase was incredible, you could easily get a decent PCI-E mobo to go with it with the rest. :)
