Hello,

I'm upgrading desktop brought from ocuk few years ago looking at a 7850 but not sure if my motherboard and psu need upgrading as well.

Setup:
AMD Phenom II X4 945 (95w)
Mobo GA-M61PME-S2P
Corsair CX 400W PSU
ATI Radeon HD 4850

Thinking about the gigabyte 7850 heard its quiet and budget is around £170 max for gpu. Thanks for help

As long as your mobo has a x16 speed pci-e lane, you'll be fine (actually, x8 would be 'ok' though x16 is what you really want).

I think the psu recommended by AMD for a 7800 series is 500w, though manufacturers / video card companies tend to exaggerate the amount required. However, I don't know if 400 will be advisable. See what others say on that one.
