I have a two year old PC. It suffers from random FPS drops when I'm playing warzone. I feel like this could be resolved with a GPU but i don't know which or whether i can upgrade something else given the GPU issues globally atm.

My build is below, i just upgraded the memory to 16gb corsair vengeance but it didn't do much.

What resolution are you playing at. I guess with a 1060gtx it would be 1080.

Have a look in task manager, or something that shows an overlay whilst the game is running, it should show you the CPU/GPU usage. If the CPU usage isn't high or spiking, then GPU will be the bottleneck.

Looking online, warzone has particular issues with high CPU usage, which can be helped by limiting your FPS to prevent it spiking. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=msdwMAeIzj4&t=297s

Warzone is a pile of poo in this regard when i first installed it had to close the game after every second/third match as the game became stuttery, then the problem disappeared after a game patch, using monitoring programs showed hardware was running fine, just a crappy game engine

Is a decent system, for a new high-end GPU you'd also need a power supply and prices haven't dropped much on GPUs yet.
