guys been messing about with programs and they run fine but i think its my memory or hdd thats slowing me down? im using fraps recording(a lot) and messing with sony vegas (a lot) and feel that its slowing down and it maybe time for an upgrade or a fixer upper as sony vegas and such and feel i need/ want :D
an ssd or a big beefy hdd? as i store lots of games and files and such and have nearly run out of 1tb drive in a month.

would an ssd help? maybe install window 7 some games and programs? or just another hard drive? please reply thanks Scone :) happy christmas !

For speed on a drive a SSD is brilliant but you wont be able to store a lot on it,
its primarily for your OS and the programmes that you run so that windows access the
programmes and files quick because the SSD responds quick.

Maybe you could put a could have extra sticks of memory in your system if u are using that
much i would monitor how much you are actually using through windows before you do
that though as you would not notice that much difference in speed.

If you are going to go for any i would suggest the SSD, if you do buy more RAM for the
system though make sure you get a 64bit version of windows though if you dont have 1
already.

hope this helps.

i have 64bit w7 dont worry and about the ram thats a good choice as i have a lot of programs running at the same time. the ssd is good choice aswell.

ive just checked and when rendering a hd fraps video of bc2 i use 1.90-2.50gbs of ram in this process so its not memory?
