I've currently got the itch to upgrade my PC as it has been a loooong time since i've had some "new" hardware to play with.
My current spec is as follows :
Q6600 at 3.4ghz Coooled By a Tuniq Tower
Asus P5Q Deluxe
8gig of 1066 OCZ Platinum... i think its platinum (4x2gig modules)
Nvidia GTX260 896mb Vram
OCZ Vertex 2E 60gig SSD
2x320gig Samsung F4's
Corsair HX620 PSU
I'm looking to upgrade the CPU, Mainboard and RAM
This is what i had in mind,
i7 2600k
ASrock Z68 Extreme 4
Corsair XMS3 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit
And the Cubitek Magic-Cube B210 case which my lovely girlfriend is going to buy me for my birthday
The GFX Card is going to be updated more towards when Battlefield 3 comes out as i want to see what peoples performance experience is like with different cards.
I like to mess about with linux distro's on a VM, Video encoding and Photo Processing. But also like the odd game but hoping for that to change when BF3 comes out.
Whats peoples opinions on the 3 components i have chosen? Also how would my PSU cope? Would i need to look at that down the line when upgrading my GFX card? I think i would be sticking to a single card that would perform at 1920x1200.
