what about then just a new GPU maybe more ram and a better Processor ?

having trouble playing elder scrolls online and med/max settings!

also a SSD.. sata getting old now :(

RAM and processor are fine..like I said a new GPU would make a big difference, R9 280/280X would be a nice upgrade. Yes check out the Samsung 120GB 840 Evo SSD or 250GB. Also you should overclock the processor to get more out of it, you have a capable cooler so why not

Or the next level up

Sapphire Radeon R9 290 Tri-X 4096MB £319

The samsung 250 gig SSd as detailed above.

Why do you want to change the Zalman Z9?? Its a great case with plenty of room and loads of fan cooling options. Do you need a full tower case?

Overclocking is best done in the bios. Just up the multiplier 2 shots (say from 33 to 35) until it wont boot and then either back it off 1 or add more voltage and keep going. 1.3 volts on the core seems to be enough to get 4.5 gig on these chips and that will give you a huge boost to your machine.

Antec Kúhler H2O 1220 Series 4 High Performance Liquid CPU Cooler £81:60

Should fit in the top and will cool better than your A70 cooler. You could also add

Corsair SP120 Performance Series High Pressure - Dual Pack £22.00

To improve the cooling of the 1220 and stick both fans on the fan controller built into the case to control them as they are not silent at full speed.

Total of £550:58 inc £8 postage.

so i brought the

Sapphire Radeon R9 290 Tri-X 4096MB £319

it dont fit in the Zulaman z9 case, i had to bend the HDD holder to get it in :P

while using the GPU in hdmi more i only get 60 Hertz
but my moniter supports 144 Hertz can i not use 144 while using a hdmi
or do i have to use dvi to get the 144

thank you

ok really need help here brought all of the above..

first the gpu didnt fit i needed to take out the HDD clips which now my hdds wont stay in place.. but hey the gpu is in

second i dont think i hsve anywhere to put the ssd

third the antec kuhler1220 cooler i got plus the 2 fans will not fit in the zulaman z9 case as the ram/memory is in the way..

as it stands the z9 is small compared to the cooler..

really recking my brain here i thought it was me not putted it in right
even the back of the z9 case didnt have enough room for the back plate for the cooler :( (the bit that open that shows u the back of the mobo)

should be able to upload some pics if it would help...

well i have tryed everything to get the cooler into the zulaman z9 case with no luck im just going to say its far to small for the gpu and the water cooler

anyway

can someone please point me to a case that would fit both

i dont have much moneys left as it cost me 600 for the stuff i already go

i prob could strech to £60 for a new case not sure

really need one that would fit my gpu and cooler no point in having then if i cant use them

thank you

Here are four that apparently will do the job for around that budget, according to a compatibility check with a H100i, which has the same dimensions as the Kuhler H20 1220. They all have a roof compartment, or raised fan grills, to allow top rad fitting, other than the Ronin, which has a high ceiling area and therefore also works in that respect. However, I suggest you ask OcUK to confirm if the cooler and GPU will fit before ordering whichever case you decide on. :)

YOUR BASKET
1 x BitFenix Ronin Tower Case - Black £69.95
1 x NZXT Phantom 240 Midi-Tower - White £65.99
1 x Antec GX 700 Rugged Gaming Case £59.99
1 x Antec GX500 Midi-Tower - Black £43.99
Total : £266.86 (includes shipping : £22.45).

There's probably a few more for close to that budget that have slipped my mind.

* The GX 700 may have a problem with the GPU length.

The Carbide 300R can sometimes fit a H100i, depending on motherboard and RAM:

looking at them cases it looks like the cooler wont fit

the motherboard sits at the top of the case and the ram is close to the cpu
the ram its self sits to the top of the case and sticks out quite abit

im so stressed :(
