Hey Guys,

My current GPU is a Sapphire R9 280x Vapor 3GB DDR5, what card should I upgrade to next?

My current set up is:

Intel Core i5-4690K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor
MSI Z97-GAMING 5 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard
Kingston HyperX Fury Black 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
Samsung 850 EVO-Series 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive
Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
EVGA 750W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply

Thanks :)

Currently able to play some games on high but only some on medium and would like to run all games on high/max

currently have only one BenQ GL2250HM 60Hz 21.5" Monitor but looking at getting a better one and using this one as a secondary.

Thanks!
I am sort of new to building gaming pcs so do need a little guidance :P
Well it all depends on what deals are out there atm? I don't want to go ridiculous like over £500 atm but I would like to stay around the £200-£300 :)

390 PCS+ is at 229........its a wash with the 970 at 1080p; but raise the res and 390 pulls ahead; 390 is cheaper; get a free game.......no brainer....

390 is better card :)

280X is still a descent card for gaming at 1080p.
390 would be a good update, about 30% boost.
the other solution would be getting a 2nd 280X and crossfire it, about 70% boost
if you can deal with the occasional issues of multi gpu scalling and such
and if you have a descent PSU 850w+
keep in mind that in ~6 months we will see new GPUs, hbm2, 16nm...i know that i wouldn't wanna miss that train :D, i would just get 2nd hand 280x crossfire for cheap and ride these few months while saving up for high end of the next gen, along with 4K Freesyng/Gsync monitor
