I made a boo boo, my HDD is SATA not Raid, whats the difference?

RAID is were you run several HD'S together, ie RAID 0 combines the 2 hard drives as one ie 2 150gb will show as 300gb as the data is stored accross both discs, RAID 1 mirrors the data to the 2nd disc which means if one disc fails the other disc will keep going and you want loose all your data.

Check wikipedia for a better explaination :)

SATA is how the HD'S are connected to the motherboard, all modern pc's use this method instead of the old IDE cable.

Looks pretty good :D

longest slots are x16, shortest x4, put you gfx card in the top or middle x16 slot

if you put a card in the bottom x16 slot the bottom and middle x16 slots become x8 electrical

taken the plunge, this is what i went for:-

Many Thanks Guys

Thanks for the heads up RJC, is this sig better? On thing that i don't know is how much heatsink compound to use, is it a tiny smear or a generous amount?

It depends on what heatsink compound comes with the cooler, usually just a tiny smear will do.

Sig is 7 lines, maximum is 4 lines width your fine, just the height.
