This is my set up , given to me by my older brother £500 to spend or keep what i have , i am happy with the CPU at the mo

I have been think upgrading my 7800GTX for a better card

To be honest there's nothing wrong with the rig you have. The 7800GTX is more than enough for a 19" TFT and really anything more will be wasted.

You could get a bigger screen such as a 22" widescreen and then with whats left get a better card but as i already said you have a pretty decent rig as it is.

agreed with the above post....sit tight wait a few months for :

a) vista
b) dx10
c) quad core cpus

if you spent any money on a gpu atm it would be a waste of money especially for the performance you see, unless you go SLI or XFIRE, which is still a waste if you wanna compare it to the 8800's.......
