Upgrade Help

Needs to be sub £100 as I have next to no money right now!

OCZ 2GB (2x1GB) PC2-6400C4 Dual Channel Platinum Revision 2 XTC Series DDR2 £30
Gigabyte GA_945PL_S3 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard -OEM £25

Now I need the best C2D cpu for under £50 - can be 1st or 2nd hand. What should I get? Also is this MB good for clocking as i'll be clocking this as much as air physically can?

How far can that be clocked do you think on the above board?

The motherboard is unlikely to be fantastic for overclocking since the 945 chipset is low-mid range but for the price you aren't going to be able to do much better. You may find that it does rather better than I suspect anyway.

How well do they clock & which mobo?

they clock from 1.4GHz to about 2.8
