Upgrade Help

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone could help me, I have a reasonable PC, build 2 years ago.

I currently have

I am a gamer - and as you know games these days are getting more graphicaly demanding.

This card runs World Of Warcraft and Cod 4 on 'Ok Settings'

But I would Like to up-grade my graphics card.

Price range : £100 - £150+ (nothing over £200)

Wondering if anyone has had this card and upgreaded from it or if anyone has and tips/ideas.

Hello and welcome.

New cards are out in under a week, the new midrange ati card is going to be a midrange card, so may fall into your price range.

As for current cards, the 8800GTS fits the bill perfectly.

I really would recommend waiting until new cards are out, to see what they are like, and to see what happens to current cards' pricing.

8800GT or 8800GTS 512 would both do you proud. make sure your PSU can cope though.

As above really if your in a hurry then i would recommend the 8800GT, however if you can wait as you say the 7600GT you have at the moment runs the games on "ok settings" then take a look at the new cards.
