Need to upgrade my system but need some advice.
I currently have:

E6600@stock
P5N32Se Sli deluxe M/B
4Gb of Ocz ram
280 GTX

Was thinking of getting this:

Q9550,Asus P5Q Pro and another 4 gig of ram.

But would i be better off paying a bit extra and getting an i7 system.

what is the pc used for?

personally i would get a new CPU cooler like the TRUE (as it can be used across a wide range of CPU sockets meaning if you go i7, AM2 AM3 etc you dont need to buy another cooler), if your still on the stock intel cooler then overclock the E6600 to see what effects it has on the performance of your PC. you want at least 3GHz to prevent the cpu bottlenecking your GTX280

I have about £550-£600 if needed.I use the computer mostly for gaming.I have an arctic freezer 7 cooler but don't know the first thing about overclocking.

something like this then mate.? cause your graphics card is fine, sell your mobo, cpu and ram and get some money back aswell ;)
