Hello,

I want to change my computer into a smaller case. The case I'm looking at is: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-142-BX&groupid=2362&catid=2278 (BitFenix Prodigy M MATX Cube Case - Arctic White)

What would you guys recommend? I currently have an ATX motherboard so there will be a few changes needed.

My current specs:

CPU: i5-3570K
Motherboard: Gigabyte Z77-DS3H (ATX)
RAM: 8GB DDR3
GPU: AMD Radeon HD 6770

Any help would be appreciated, thanks! :) I want to make it look really nice, maybe with some LED's etc but without spending too much money. I like that case that I linked to but other suggestions would be welcomed.

Hello,

you would need to change your motherboard as a ATX motherboard will not fit in to a MATX case. the case only supports the following

Motherboard Sizes: Micro ATX, Mini-ITX

from the gigabyte website the motherboard size is ATX Form Factor; 30.5cm x 21.5cm

Correct - any recommended budget mATX motherboards?

The best place to look wouldbe in the secondhand market..

It just seems a lot of money to throw into 'sidegrading'.

Personally, i'd wait til you have the funds to upgrade the 'core line' (CPU, motherboard,RAM) and go mATX then.

If you are a gamer, the component that needs most attention is your GPU, pretty old now.

ANother issue with changing the motherboard is the OS. Its tiedto the motherboard, so you may have issues running/re-installing, which may result in using another key or buying another OEM.

If I went for the core line, what would you recommend? :)
