Upgrade help.

Currently have:
Cooler Master HAF X case
Corsair CW650 PSU
i5 3570k (not been clocked)
8GB RAM
Gigabyte mobo (can't remember exactly but was semi-decent 3 or so years ago)

I want to upgrade to a multi-screen/multi-tab VM computer and perhaps play games.

Will what I have be enough or should I upgrade to the latest i7? Along with more RAM and a new mobo?

Suggestions?

Hi,

VM does like lots of cores and RAM, but you need to try what you currently have and see if you are happy with it.

Do you know what GFX card (if any) you have at the moment?

No gfx card at present.

I guess it would a good idea to try before I buy. Perhaps stick in some more RAM.

I'm going to upgrade on what I have.

Currently have:
Gigabyte SKT-1155 Z77X-D3H Motherboard
WD Caviar Green 1TB SATA III 6GB/s Internal HD
Corsair HX650 650W ATX/EPS Modular 80 PLUS Gold PSU
i5-3570K CPU
8GB RAM

Plan is to upgrade to 32GB RAM, add SSD and get a CPU cooler and overclock.

What are people's recommendations for the motherboard?
Interested in graphic cards too

Budget is roughly 500 but can go higher.
